New Year New You

What do you want for yourself ?

January is a month of hope and promise for many people around the world. Unfortunately, for too many the end of January is a time of great disappointment as well.  Certainly a new year is a wonderful time for reflection and goal setting, a practice many people follow. However, statistics indicate that 100 million Americans will make New Years resolutions; 80% will not keep them for the year and 35% will quit by January 31st. Huge numbers to be sure, but why?  Often resolutions are not well thought out, overly ambitious and lack planning. As with any goal setting it is important to not only know what you want but why you want it .If your goal is to lose weight, for instance, think in detail about how you will look and feel and why that important to you. How will life be when you reach your goal? This process should help you determine if you are setting the right goal for the right reason as well as provide real motivation. It is how we feel when we reach our goal that we are really after. That is why sometimes when we go after a goal certain it will make us happy we are disappointed .It wasn’t the thing we sought, but how we thought it would effect us and make us feel emotionally and didn’t.

Once you are clear on what you want and why it is wise to make a plan and start taking small steps in that direction. Finally, commit to do it and even more importantly recommit as often as necessary to stay on track. Resolutions and goal setting is very challenging for most people, but with a clear understanding and careful planning you can have great success. The process can be very rewarding and is the best and only way to reach your dreams and live your best life.

  2. To really decide what you want and why you want it.
Be clear that the result you are after, the feeling you will get, will in fact come from what you pursue. Also, only go for what you truly desire not what you "think" others would want or approve of. It has to be for you and you need to believe in it.

  4. Wow ,small comment but a huge topic.Stress can be very wearing and unhealthy as we all know.Certainly, finding ways to solve and alleviate stressful situations when possible is first. There are several things you can do to be more positive: First acknowledge you have choice. Even if you do not have choice in circumstance you can decide how you react to them and more importantly how you think about a situation.Trust you have choices and are stronger than you know. It is not just the things that occur that are bad or stressful but moreover how we interpret them and what we think they mean.Conciously make the effort to stop your thinking when it becomes negative, distract yourself or challenge your line of thinking. Start by looking at things from many perspectives. There are always other perspectives. For every negative thought try to come up with two positive ones to counter it .
Develop the habit of focusing on what is working well and is positve in your life .As they say count your blessings ,gratitude is powerful even just one thing each day. Also,be sure to take time to care for yourself relax, recharge, laugh.Feed your soul.
Like any goal make a plan of action, implement it and commit to being positive, you and everyone around you will be happy you did.

  6. hello handy little web page you got there :-) I employ the matching design template on mine and yet for what ever issue it looks to stream swifter on your site eventhough this site includes a lot more material. Are you currently implementing any specific plug ins or widgets that will speed it up? If you might be able to give the names so maybe I could use these on my online site I'd personally be grateful - regards in advance :)
